Style: Modern Traditional       Built: 1941

Built in 1941, this 4 bedroom / 3 bath home now has the detail, space and feeling of a modern traditional…not to mention views that evoke a “wow” response. We acquired this home from a well know chef who always intended to renovate and create a “killer” kitchen but who’s career took off so fast he didn’t even get a chance live here! We have completed much of what was imagined (including that killer kitchen) and are sure the results are beyond expectations…

Our renovation began with opening up the original floor plan to give this traditional home a more modern appeal. The once separated formal dining room is now seamlessly connected to the amazing kitchen and now shares its fantastic Bay views. These changes have produced a home with less formality and more open living and social space.

The once isolated staircase is now open to the rest of the home and has created a dramatic entry full of light and architectural interest. New dual pane windows and full light glass doors have been installed to shed beautiful natural light on the original random plank oak floors and fur floors that have been refinished utilizing our signature “wet process”.

The spacious formal living room now features detailed crown molding, a handsome fireplace surround and expansive wall to wall windows that perfectly frame the unobstructed Bay and Golden Gate views.

The original kitchen has been expanded to accommodate today’s desire for generous and functional work areas. Described as “light, white and bright” it now features stainless pro appliances, stone counters, new solid wood cabinetry and an abundance of storage. The eating area of this kitchen is set in the original bay window overlooking the gorgeous front courtyard.

The Master bedroom has been reconfigured and now includes a private bathroom with double sinks, a separate retreat space with its own deck and access to the landscaped yard. A new en-suite bath has been added to one of the 4 bedrooms. This home also features a large separate study/office area, separate mudroom/laundry room, 2 decks, and garage with interior access.
