Style: Craftsman    Built: 1926

The minute we walked into this home we knew it was a "diamond in the rough" just waiting for us to revive its beauty. Details such as handsome craftsman columns flanking the living room, original glass front built-ins, and elegantly shaped fireplace were desperately crying for us to bring them back to their original stature.

Our renovation included recapturing some much-needed space to open up the kitchen and make it light and airy (a goal of traditional bungalow style). Modern stainless appliances and craftsman styled cabinetry were installed while preserving the kitchen's original subway tile and charming cottage appeal. A completely new bathroom with beautiful wainscoting, high baseboards, and charming pedestal sink updated this space. The original full-length mirrored medicine cabinet was left intact to provide a characteristic link to the past.

Maximizing living space is a primary goal in all of our projects. To accomplish this here, a French door was added off the master bedroom to provide access to the spacious backyard and new redwood deck installed off the kitchen.

All inlayed hardwood floors were restored to their original luster. Period lighting and hardware was carefully selected and installed throughout the home. And finally, the home was painted using the rich colors of the Bee Renovated paint palette. A thoughtful and handsome transformation.
